Surah 103: 1                                    وا لْعَصْرِ          

Most of the time, -

103:1 Time that flies and has flown, bears witness.

103:1 By the afternoon.

103:1 By the declining day,

103:1 By (the Token of) Time (through the ages),

103:1 CONSIDER the flight of time!

103:1 By time.

Surah 103: 2                                إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ

- surely, those of you pretending to forget us, most certainly end up in diminution or total loss in the buiness of life.

103:2 That man is, and has been, in a state of loss.

103:2 The human being is utterly lost.

103:2 Lo! man is in a state of loss,

103:2 Verily Man is in loss,

103:2 Verily, man is bound to lose himself

103:2 The human is indeed in loss.

Surah 103: 3                    إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ

وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ

Except those who have safeguarded and secured themselves with deeds free of corruption, full of justice, honesty, and by creating a state of order.  So remember to enjoin one another in acts suitable for this, requiring wisdom, justice, reality and facts; as well as to continue to enjoin one another to be patient, and to endure in these attributes.

103:3 Except those who have chosen to be graced with belief, do works that help others and exemplify truth and exemplify perseverance.

103:3 Except those who believe and lead a righteous life, and exhort one another to uphold the truth, and exhort one another to be steadfast.

103:3 Save those who believe and do good works, and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance.

103:3 Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy.

103:3 unless he be of those who attain to faith, and do good works, and enjoin upon one another the keeping to truth, and enjoin upon one another patience in adversity.

103:3 Except those who believe, do good works, support one another with the truth, and support one another with perseverance.
